This painting is the depiction of the Mangla Arti darshans at Nathdwara, in this the devotees can have a view of their beloved deity Shrinathji in early morning and before sunset worship of deity who has adorned himself in a rose coloured dress with leafy illustrations, while he wears a kesari yellow turban with pearls outlining and mini decorative pieces of gold along with a little morpankh cutting over his head. The most precious and priceless ornament here is the smile of the Black Lord who has eyes like the petals of lotus and a transcendental form from head to toe which are covered in the cloth symbolising him resting on the bed as he has just woken up. This childhood Krishna is a thief of everyone’s heart and this theme is deeply elaborated in the watercolour composition on paper which has been bordered in a rectangular shape with the alluring floral patterns on a green background which completely provides a feeling of positivity and nature.
