On a decorated wooden pedestal stands the divine idol of Srinathji. In front of the idol lies a tray full of sweets. Srinathji is dark bodied, dressed in a green flared tunic. Numerous necklaces and strings of pearls hang down his neck, obstructing view of all else. A blue shoulder cloth lends movement to the static idol. A garland of lotus buds is added as adornment, even as he holds flowers in one hand. The other hand is held as if supporting Mount Govardhan. An elaborate headgear decorates his head. It is a tribal representation and the eyes, nose and lips support it.
The artist has left the background bare. It seems an intentional decision as there are already too many elements in the subject and any further addition would have cluttered the painting that displays pure colours and a strong line.
