Mahakali- the dashabhuja or ten-armed Hindu goddess is depicted in a divinely dramatic composition of this bronze statue.
The statue sculpted in a rounded manner shows the tresses of Mahakali flowing beautifully on the reverse, adorned by the Siraschakra aura and the crescent moon.
Ornamented by the severed limbs of demons, Mahakali raises her ten arms around her, her tongue lolling, eyes widening, and nose flaring with pure wrath.
Adding to the dynamism of the Panchaloha composition is the raised leg of Mahakali, about to touch the heart of Shiva, whose stillness beautifully contrasts with the dramatic appearance of the goddess.
The sacred vision is elevated on a lotus pedestal, with a stylistically bloomed lotus, as the artist’s eternal offering in the feet of Mahakali.
