सरस्वती सरसिजकेसरप्रभा
तपस्विनी सितकमलासनप्रिया ।
घनस्तनी कमलविलोललोचना
मनस्विनी भवतु वरप्रसादिनी ॥
This brass lamp is a salutation to Devi Saraswati, who has the splendor of a lotus flower, is Tapaswini (literally a Yogi, signifying the embodiment of meditation), and who loves the seat of White Lotus, whose eyes are filled with significant serenity, like the pure lotus petals, and who is Manaswini (literally full of Mind, signifying the embodiment of wisdom), she plays Veena and showers blessings upon her devotees. Here, the Goddess sits on an arrangement of lamps, looking like a fully bloomed lotus.
The statue of Goddess Saraswati, in her Chaturbhuj or four-armed look, is seen seated on a broad oil lamp with one wick, which further stands on a group of lamps. The entire arrangement is blessed with a Kirtimukha frame supported by a peacock, and Yali stands at both sides. This lamp is a traditional ritual object that brings the auspiciousness associated with the image of Goddess Saraswati and mixes it with the warmth of the lamp.
How to keep a Brass statue well-maintained?
Brass statues are known and appreciated for their exquisite beauty and luster. The brilliant bright gold appearance of Brass makes it appropriate for casting aesthetic statues and sculptures. Brass is a metal alloy composed mainly of copper and zinc. This chemical composition makes brass a highly durable and corrosion-resistant material. Due to these properties, Brass statues and sculptures can be kept both indoors as well as outdoors. They also last for many decades without losing all their natural shine.
Brass statues can withstand even harsh weather conditions very well due to their corrosion-resistance properties. However, maintaining the luster and natural beauty of brass statues is essential if you want to prolong their life and appearance.
In case you have a colored brass statue, you may apply mustard oil using a soft brush or clean cloth on the brass portion while for the colored portion of the statue, you may use coconut oil with a cotton cloth.
