The holy custom of presenting flowers to the Gods and Goddesses during respect is known as Pushpanjali. It is made up of two words: Pushpa, which means flower, and Anjali, which means giving. To carry out this rite, a large number of flowers must be kept in front of the sacred sculptures. Poodukai, a particular ceremonial item, is created for this purpose. During the ceremony, special mantras are uttered. This brass Poodukai is a semi-flattened container with a handle going from one side to the other. It also includes three stands to keep the container stable. This is a highly important ritual device that allows devotees to carry flowers and other important ritual objects while performing their worship in peace and comfort.
