Vajrasattva transcends the concept of ego, representing a state where there's no "who" or "what." In ultimate reality, Vajrasattva is indistinguishable from any other Buddha. Depicted holding a vajra and bell in a crossed embrace,
Vajrasattva's right hand gently grasps a vajra at his heart, while his left hand holds a bell at his waist. The bell symbolizes Wisdom, and the vajra represents Reality and Compassion. Like Vajradhara, he carries the bell of knowledge in his left hand and the vajra, in his right hand. Vajrasattva may also be depicted seated with one leg slightly extended.
