His role as saviour earned him great popularity in Tibet, China, and Japan. Amitabha. His simplicity pleased the masses, the warriors, aristocrats and, probably, his consoling aspect spoke as strongly to the heart of men.
The statue of Amitabha Buddha is built in brass. He sits on the plinth of a lotus as his hands are in dhyana mudra. He is shown seated with the feet completely hidden inside his robe as a sign of belonging to esoterism. He is wearing a headdress.
