When the Ksheer Sagar was churned by Suras and Asuras, a number of magical, divine, and precious items emerged from the depths of the ocean. Among these things was the cow Kamadhenu, revered in Hinduism as a maternal figure, capable of giving boons that help one beyond the realm of the living.
Kamadhenu is often represented with her calf, her daughter Nandini, who like her mother holds a respected and venerated. In this small brass statue, Kamadhenu stands proudly on a low-rise platform, while Nandini drinks milk from her udders. A beautiful bell hangs from the neck of Kamadhenu. She is a wish-granting divine animal in Hindu scriptures, thus placing this brass idol at your home will please Kamadhenu who as per Vaastu is the bestower of prosperity and contentment.
