This two feet Nandi sculpture is inspired by the divine bull of Shiva positioned outside in the South Indian Shaiva temples, sometimes in a majestic Nandi-Mandapam (hall of Nandi), as the protector and devotee of the abode of Shiva.
Adorned with exquisite jewelry, bells, and cloth, Nandi has a visible smile on his face, animating the sculpture and radiating a serenity possible only through devotion.
The embodiment of Dharma or order that serves Shiva and is nourished by his Lilas, Nandi purifies a space, making it favorable for the arrival of Mahadeva.
