Nachiarkoil Kuthuvilakku is a brass lamp that is handcrafted specifically in Nachiarkoil, Tamil Nadu, India. The lamp, which is hollow cast, comes in a variety of sizes and is made up of four screwed-together sections. The lights are topped with a sacred image of Annam or a mythological peacock. The lamp's components are carved in beautiful patterns. These lights are available with five to seven wicks. They are considered auspicious and are used for temple adornment. Often, rows of these lamps are lighted to bring the almighty's blessings. Because of their religious importance, these lights are often used at Kerala's Poorams (festivals).
