ॐ श्री ह्रीं श्रीं कमले कमलालये प्रसीद श्रीं ह्रीं श्रीं ॐ महालक्ष्मयै नमः।।
Mahalakshmi in Hindu-Tantra is the aspect of Adi Shakti who annihilated Mahishasura. In her benign roopa as Sri, the Shakti of Vishnu, Lakshmi is the bestower of eternal wealth, residing and enthroned on a bloomed Kamala or lotus, evoked in rituals to bring auspiciousness in the life of Sadhaka. As Kamala in Shakta-Tantra, the divine goddess is the supreme sovereign of Sri Yantra and the one who is worshipped by Brahma-Vishnu-Shiva, gods, demons, and humans, who seek refuge in her lotus feet.
On a beautifully delineated Kamala, Maa Lakshmi in this brass statue appears to have embodied universal auspiciousness and fortune. Brimming with grandeur, Devi Lakshmi is adorned with fine ornaments, an intricate crown with floral tassels forming a majestic halo around her countenance and delicate attire. A suppleness and fleshiness are created masterfully in brass by the sculptor, giving Devi Lakshmi the most alluring feminine form.
She holds two lotuses in her secondary hands and has her primary hands raised in Abhaya and Varada mudra. From her hand dangling in the gesture of giving boons, gold coins rain forming a flow of wealth, as the devotee welcoming the great goddess envisions.
