Krishna’s bodily features are sweeter than honey and His transcendental activities and pastimes are even more sweet. Krishna means ‘He who is all-attractive’ and this justifies why all the residents of Vrindavan including the damsels loved Krishna with all their heart and soul. When He descends to the earth, He acts like an ordinary man but He transcends all the modes of material nature because He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. He is the cause of all causes and the ocean of mercy.
This sculpture depicts the ever youthful and eternal Lord Krishna standing in the three-fold bending (tribhanga) form which is enough to attract the material eyes of all the living entities of this universe.
Clad in a beautifully pleated dhoti down to His ankles, and a silk dupatta worn over a shoulder and the other end tied to the dhoti around the waist. He plays His divine flute by placing it to the lips in order to enliven the hearts of the devotees. Krishna’s flute playing is so attractive that even animals become enchanted. His beautiful eyes appear as lotus petals and He is decorated with a tilaka on his forehead and garlanded with different kinds of flowers.
Embellished with different ornaments such as earrings, neckpieces, and a huge crown on His head with three peacock feathers. Finally, His soft and gentle smile on the moon-like face of Krishna is attractive to everyone and whoever sees Him sees nothing but a festival.
