Chintamani Lokeshvara, the aspect of Bodhisattva Lokeshvara presented in this wooden Nepalese statue is a potent form of the deity, in which Avalokiteshvara becomes the manifestation of Chintamani or the wish-fulfilling jewel. On a lotus pedestal, Chintamani Lokeshvara stands in a triple-bent posture, wearing a snug red dhoti, exquisite ornaments, an adorned scarf, and a jeweled crown. In his upraised hand, Lokeshvara holds the Chintamani, and on his face, the glow of thousand jewels.
