Deepalakshmi is a special roopa of Devi Lakshmi. The word Deepalakshmi is a portmanteau of ‘deepa’, which means the flame of a dia, and Lakshmi, the Devi of abundance. When Lakshmi upholds a deepa in Her gentle hands and assumes a stance full of warmth and welcome, She becomes Deepalakshmi.
