Lord Hanuman lifted a mountain in one of the most well-known tales from the Indian epic, the Ramayana. During the battle of Lanka, Lakshmana, brother of Lord Rama, was critically wounded by an arrow from the demon king Ravana's son, Indrajit. To save his life, Hanuman was tasked with fetching the Sanjeevani, a life-restoring herb that grew on the Dronagiri mountain in the Himalayas.
Upon reaching the mountain, Hanuman was unable to identify the specific herb. In a display of his immense devotion and strength, he lifted the entire mountain and flew it back to the battlefield so that the medicinal herb could be found in time to heal Lakshmana. This act is often cited as an example of Hanuman's incredible power and his unwavering dedication to Lord Rama.
