Thrones and arches are an integral part of the decoration of deities commonly known as alamkaram. There are occasions when the deities are decorated with particular objects. This brass arch with a crown image of Kirtimukha is placed behind the deities and identified as Thiruvachi. It has a frame-like structure, and the image or idol is supposed to be carefully placed in the gap between two pillars. This arch can also be used as a wall decor.
