This brass Kindi is a traditional water-holding and pouring jug. These brass Kindis are used both domestically and ritualistically. The Kindi's belly is rounded and grows into a softly grooved neck that is lofty and shapely. The upturned pouring spout affixed to the belly of this cup is its most distinguishing characteristic. The spout is long and tapered in shape. A flared foot ring serves as the stand to balance the relatively round pot. This Kindi is a highly essential ceremonial item that Sadhus frequently carries on excursions.
