Lord Vishnu is the ‘preserver’ in the Hindu Triad and the supreme beings in Vaishnavism; he protects dharma and is said to appear on earth in various incarnations to fight demons and maintain cosmic harmony. The sun haloed crown that rests on his divine golden hair is decorated with a leaf-shaped broch in the centre and a peacock feather at the top.
