The goddess stands on a circular lotus platform, in a pleasing “Tribhanga” or triple bent posture. On her head is a high-raising crown, in her ears are circular ear ornaments or Dehri, in her neck two necklaces, armbands, and bracelets in her hands, Yajnopavita (sacred thread) running diagonally on her torso, and a Kuchabandha (breast ornament).

Goddess Parvati, the consort of Lord Shiva, is one of the principal deities of Goddesses in Hinduism. She appeared in the material world as the daughter of Himavan, king of the Himalayan mountains. The Vedic scriptures describe her as a young, beautiful woman who is chaste and faithful to her husband, Lord Shiva.
