The artist paid careful attention to capturing the reflective qualities of water and the play of light on the surface of this Bangalore silk dupatta. The lakes painted on this dupatta are capitating depictions of tranquil water bodies, often adorned with lush vegetation, wildlife, and sometimes human activity. The dark/ black part of the dupatta indicates the water body, fishes in many sizes can be seen with variations of water vegetation, and at the boundaries of the dupatta decorated cows can be seen to complete the flow of the kalamkari.
