Each of the three pieces of this lahanga suit comes with its own quirk. The skirt sits a good few inches below the navel. Its almost straight cut as well as the hemline are a tad more practical than the voluminous, sweeping skirts we associate with traditional outfits. The choli is short-sleeved, and sits high on the torso in addition to revealing a good deal of the decolletage. The dupatta is short and sultry, a mass of translucent cotton fabric gathered together to complement the rich colours and the statement embroidery on the choli and the skrit.
