Devi’s Tantra is many things: an imaginative science fiction novel; a charming and ultimately profound love story; a teaching parable in the Tantra tradition; and, most of all, a new vision of how human sexuality can evolve into a path to enlightenment. The book tells the fascinating story of the relationship between an angelic being from another galaxy and a human man, and is based on the traditional Indian scriptures of the teachings of Shiva to his consort Devi. The book describes in detail some of the techniques that, by blending the masculine and feminine energies, lead to the ascension of the Kundalini and a mature relationship of love between a man and a woman.
Devi’s Tantra is not just a novel but a real text of Tantric teachings for the modern man. It is a book to always have with you, a book that helps to open up not only the heart but also the channels of light inherent in humans that connect us with the divine around us.
Dr Azima V. Rosciano studied medicine in Italy, obtaining his M.D. in Medicine & Surgery at the University of Palermo in 1977.
After a short period of working in conventional hospitals in Sicily, he left Europe, travelling overland to India.
Once in India, he met the Master Osho, immediately became a disciple, and remained with him until the mystic’s death in 1990.
Transformed by this experience, Azima returned to the medical profession, and soon became one of Italy’s most recognised and respected homeopathic doctors.
Since then, he has published two books on medicine and two CDs of music therapy. On 2011 his autobiography “La Mia Vita con Osho” receive so much resonance that is translated in English “My Life With Osho” and publish in India by Diamond Books on 2013.
Tantric Buddhism or originated from, and has for centuries been an integral part of, the great spiritual tradition of India.
The basis of its teaching is THE ACCEPTANCE OF LIFE IN ITS ENTIRETY, which includes its sexual component.
‘Sexual energy’ is used here not only as a Release or Momentary pleasure, but more as Spiritual Growth and ultimately to reach Enlightenment.
The sexual descriptions in the text are written, as much as possible, in a style and with terminology that is scientific in order to avoid falling, in any way, into the dimension of pornography, which, unfortunately, characterizes the majority of books that deal with this subject.
I hope that the text may be of help in the Evolution of Human Consciousness that is taking place on planet Earth today.
The tantric techniques recounted in this tale of fantasy/reality are taken from the work by the Master Osho entitled, “Commentary on the VIGYAN BHAIRAV TANTRA.” The Vigyan Bhairav Tantra is a Hindu text that was written five thousand years ago about. It is concerned with spiritual teachings given, in the form of questions and responses, by the Lord Shiva to his consort and lover, Devi.
They are techniques which serve to take us beyond the normal states of consciousness to arrive at the sphere of Cosmic Illumination and Knowledge of the True Self.
The original Hindu text contains a hundred or so techniques, of which only a few are concerned with sexuality. The rest are about breathing and awareness of the small gestures of daily life.
But sex, unfortunately, as we can see today in all the modes of communication and information, is the dominant energy in contemporary society and it seems that everything revolves around it. Nevertheless, used in the way we see today, it is only a release valve for our tensions or a mode of reaching other goals.
Instead, sex is the first step on an ascending stairway that takes us toward cosmic energy and toward a profound contact with that same “divine” which surrounds all.
Only the Tantric masters have had the courage to tackle this subject and to explain how to use sex to reach the door of cosmic energy.
Therefore this book, in the form of a tale of imagination, was created as a means of understanding for a wider public of the ancient art of Tantra that uses sexual energy to arrive at the Divine.
All of us have within us the innate potential to live that interior Ecstasy. We simply have to have the courage to go withi n and experience ourselves.
