Dr. Kursija is a renowned homoeopathic consultant. In recognition of his services in the field of homoeopathy, The Board of Homoeopathic System of Medicine, Govt. of New Delhi, honoured him with the title of ‘Yuddhaveer Singh’. He held the post of Founder Chief Editor of “Hahneman Homoeopathic Sandesh” –a magazine of Delhi Homoeopathic Medical Association, Delhi. For years, he remained actively involved in affairs of the same Association and presently is its President.
It is interesting to know that he learnt and applied astrology to remove hurdles that the people faced while being treated for chronic diseases. In the year 1993, he emerged as Visharad from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and his name appeared in the faculty list of the same prestigious institute. Thus he started teaching Astrology. Meanwhile he got associated with and kept on teaching at Indian council of Astrological Sciences, Chapter-1, New Delhi. Till the year 2001 he remained active there and became Executive Editor of the Newsletter of the said Chapter. On account of his meritorious services, Dr. Kursija earned another presitigious title ‘Kovid’.
Dr. Kursija is the founder member and General Secretary of All India Federation of Astrologers’ Societies, Delhi. His contribution as author of books for the federation is definitely laudable.
He has many books to his credit among which “Prediction through Horary” has been published. His other works are: Kundali Milan – Sukhi Dampatya Jeevan Ka Adhar, Medical Astrology for Astrologers, Medical Astrology for Beginners, Saral Ashta Kuta Milan, Horary, A practical guide to Dasha prediction, Saral Dashaphal Nirnay etc.
Today “Horoscope matching” has become the indispensable part of Hindu marriage. But it has not been mentioned in any old Jataka scripture of Astrology. However, it has been described in the Muhurta scriptures of the same. In Ramayan, marriage of Rama, Bharata, Lakshmana and Shatrughna has been described elaborately. But, in this great epic also Horoscope matching has not been mentioned. Likewise, in Mahabharata, too, it has not been cited. Therefore, it can be said that Horoscope matching in Astrology was not in practice a few centuries ago. But, the community accepted and made it an indispensable part keeping its usefulness in view.
Different systems of Horoscope matching are in practice in different parts of India. In North India, Ashtakuta matching is in practice whereas in South Dasakuta matching is in fashion. But Ashtakuta matching is in vogue in most part of India. This is why the All India Federation of Astrologers’ Societies has accepted and prescribed this system of Ashtakuta matching for the courses of its students.
The book has been written keeping in view the courses introduced by the All India Federation of Astrologers’ Societies, Delhi. The students are advise to study “Kundali Milana-Sukhi Dampatya Jeevana Ka Adhar” written by the author of this book because prediction of a happy married life cannot be made by Ashtakuta matching only. This shows only the amity, love and mutual understanding between the two. But to determine the age, health and ups and downs in life of the couple some other aspects such as Period-sub-period, Dosha Samya etc. are also essential to be analysed. An analysis of long conjugal life is essential for its stability. So, apart from Ashtakuta matching, we should keep in view other aspects also. To know all this, “Kundali Milan – Sukhi Dampatya Jeevana Ka Adhara” is prescribed.
I am obliged to the All India Federation of Astrologers’ Societies, Delhi –its President Mr. Arun Bansal in particular-without whose inspiration the book could not have seen the light of the days.
