"Keep the sword of awareness with you and severe all ties with the mind and the body. These ties are not even real ones Ties are illusory and so are your bondages. You are chidananda and you will remain that. Nothing can change your being Be in the being and know that you are the truth. You do not have to do anything to achieve truth you are the truth! So how can you attain yourself!? What can you do to know you? Just wake up and see. The whole journey is the journey of waking up from this sleep."

Anandmurti Gurumaa a contemporary mystic master is a beacon of light to those on the path of spirituality, meditation, love, and wisdom. Every year, meditation camps are conducted by Anandmurti Gurumaa at Gurumaa Ashram and various other places all over the world. During the day, sadhaks are taught various meditation techniques. Care is taken that each is taught a method appropriate to his need and stage of spiritual development. In the evening, all aspirants gather for a satsang or spiritual discourse, which is conducted by Gurumaa herself. This is an interactive session which rounds off the day's proceedings.

One such camp was held at Rishikesh in the Himalayas. In this particular camp, Gurumaa spoke on 'Armashatakam', a classic work of Advaita Vedanta, written by Adi Shankaracharya. True to her style, she related real life incidents and anecdotes, connecting ordinary lives with Shankaracharya's great work and made high philosophical treatise into a feast for the listeners.

During this camp, Gurumaa deconstructed and analysed 'Atmashatakam' word by word, revealing its true meaning and message, making it crystal clear to the sadhaks that God resides within each one of us and to realise the ultimate truth, one has to search within.
