Planets speak many languages. The language of 'Chakras' is one of them. A 'Chakra' is a special arrangement of rashis or nakshatras which simplifies the study of transits for a specific purpose. Kota Chakra is one of the several chakras in astrology and it is this Chakra which is discussed in the present book.
Taking ‘Janma Nakshatra' as starting point, Kota Chakra is an arrangement of 28 nakshatras in such a way that more sensitive nakshatras are differentiated from less sensitive nakshatras so that effects of transit of planets in various nakshatras on the health and happyness of a person can be properly studied. Study of this book will help one in getting an answer to the following questions :
(1) What is Kota Chakra? Which segments of Kota Chakra are more sensitive and which are less sensitive (Chapter -1 and Chapter-2)
(2) What do we mean by malefic transit in Kota Chakra? (Chapter-3)
(3) What will be the nature of malefic effects? (i.e. disease, type of disease, death, accident, suicide mental torture etc.). This aspect is discussed in detail in the remaining chapter (i.e. Chapter-4 to Chapter - 6)
Various aspects of uses of Kota Chakra are thoroughly illustrated with practical examples. Brief summary of the events covered and principles applied is given here in tabular form to give a firsthand view of the book to the readers.
The horoscope of a native contains position of planets in various Rashis and Nakshatras at a specific point of time i.e. the time of birth. This planetary position becomes a base with reference to which one studies the transit of planets along with Dashas to identify the possibility of happening or non-happening of a particular event. Various angles formed by planets in transit with the original position of one or more planets contain informations about good or bad events in store for a particular native. These angles, or aspects as we call them, have different meanings under different circumstances or for different purposes. This makes astrological interpretation of such transits a complex process. To simplify the interpretations of transits our Maharishis devised various chakras for different purposes. Kota Chakra is one of such chakras. Its importance can be seen from the fact that it can be used to interpret the transits leading to three important D's i.e. "Disease, Dispute, Death”, of life.
Kota Chakra, also known as Durgachakra, has been discussed in various books and is shown to be useful in battles. Whether a king will be able to conquer the ‘Fort or Durga’ of another king? Or when a king should attack to get victory? These questions can be answered by studying the transit of planets in Kota Chakra. But, like in many other cases, real uses of Kota Chakra are more than those disclosed in various books. Kota Chakra is found to be useful for following purposes :( if not more!)
(a) To identify the periods of Arishta (i.e. ill healh, accidents, physical and mental distress, death etc.) for a particular native and also to find out the probability of recovery or no recovery.
(b) To know the outcome of a dispute.
(c) To select favourable periods for filing a suit or conducting raids.
(d) In any situation where there is one attacker and one defender (e.g. Fall of governments).
The aim of writing this book is to explain the use of Kota Chakra for above mentioned purposes. As transit is always secondary to combinations in the horoscope and the Dasha running at a particular time this book also contains details about various combinations in the horoscope and rules for interpreting Dashas and Antardashas wherever relevant.
Keeping in mind the above objective, Chapter - 2 deals with method-of preparing Kota Chakra, various segments of Kota Chakra, concept of “Kota Swami” and "Kota Paala" and other technical and conceptual aspects.
Rules for interpreting transits in Kota Chakra are dealt in Chapter - 3. To make -a simple beginning we have ignored Dashas in this chapter. Chapter - 4 contains detailed analysis of Dashas, normal transits and Kota Chakra relating to illness, recovery and death. Chapter - 5 deals with cases of accidents and suicide and explains the special principles applicable in these situations.
Chapter - 6 covers other areas where Kota Chakra can be used e.g. disputes, fall of governments etc. Chapter - 7 contains conclusions. All the principles are thoroughly illustrated through horoscopes.
