Brahmasri R Mani Dravid grandson of Late Panditraj Sri Rajeswar Sastri Dravid. Asthana Vidvan of Kashi, completed his early studies in Kashi and Madras. He then received Doctorate from Benaras Hindu University. Varanasi. Vedanta Acarya title from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. Mumbai and Mimamsa Acarya title from Sampoornanand Sanskrit University. Varanasi. Currently Professor of Mimamsa at the Madras Sanskrit College. Chennai, he is an eminent member of many a Vidvat Sadas and has received many honours and awards. His brilliant expositions in fluent Sanskrit are wonderful in their lucidity and technical precision.
The Sastradipika is an important work in prose (11th century AD) on the epistemology of Bhatta Mimamsa. This volume consists of the first section. Tarka Pada and Sanskrit Commentary. Vivrti, both divided into sections with corresponding numbers for the reader's convenience. It explains the text completely in simple Sharda Narayanan received a tirm foundation in Sanskrit studies from Late Vidvan C.
