Shri K Baskaran was born on 5th January 1964 at Bodinayackanur, Theni district, Tamil Nadu to the couple Sri S Krishnan Naidu and K. Reganayaki as their 5th son. Due to circumstances he was forced to discontinue his studies beyond school education. He gathered much experience in different walks of life and acquired sufficient skills and knowledge in various kinds of artworks. By God's grace he was fascinated towards the mysterious science of stellar astrology in his young age. Possessing on uncanny sense of judgement and sharp mind which were gifted by the planets, he committed himself to unearth its secrets. He excelled in his research work in all aspects based on traditional astrology, by way of exerting his best efforts to abridge the vacuum areas and integrating his own set of new rules innovated through long time research. Later on his methodology was formulated as Baskara Jothidam otherwise known as Baskara Theory of Astrology.

This book "Secrets of Baskara Astrology" has been produced based on the innovative concepts of Shri K. Baskaran through his dedicated research in the field of modern astrology. The book has been written with a scope to suit the scientific world by adapting new approach along with the arguments embraced here through lot of examples. This book which complied through simplified procedures for selecting Bhava significators, Planet significators apart from transit of Moon has been analysed and explained in various angles. The method to sort out the karakas of planets, Bhava karakas, Bhava potential and Dasa Potential; besides how the starlord offers the potentials have been well explained by the author using new concepts. The usage of Dasa /Bhukthi has been covered in depth which has not been highlighted so far by anyone in the field of astrology. Astrology is integrated with practical way of life and treated in a simple way. Lagna Dasa which is a value addition to this book has been explained in a new dimensional way; no doubt exhibits as a crown made of Gem.
