The first edition of the book "Bharatmoy Shiva-Shivamoy Bharat was in Bengali which has limited readership, while the book itself deserves to be meant for larger readership. To bring it to the National and International readers it is incumbent that the aforesaid book be rendered into English with alteration should there arise such occasions to demand them. Regard being had to such requirement I have taken myself the task to render the Bengali version into English version while keeping the text to identical pattern and sense of original format with changed title as "Shiva in India-India in Shiva" (Legend on Shiva)

This is not a scripture-it is a legend on the historical, mythological, cultural philosophical, spiritual and even scientific feature of Indian Civilization which once spread in many countries of the world. Lord Shiva was in the vanguard to get the people belonging to different faiths and orders familiarise with India and its civilization sans any religious indoctrination to motivate to join specific belief and faith. The scientists now working in Cern (Geneva) have related Lord Shiva with latest modern science and installed his statue there with an inscription on a board written in the language of Frit Kapra.
