Sri Shirdi Sai Baba (1838-1818) was the greatest among the Incarnations and saints of the Kali Age. He was the Incarnation of Lord Dattareya - the Trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh He had incarnated innumerable times and in one of his births He was the renowned medieval reformer saint poet Kabir, the great disciple of Guru Ramanand.
Though born in a Hindu Brahmin family. He was brought up by a Muslim Fakir in his early childhood and then trained in spiritual enlightenment by a Brahmin saint Guru Venkusha, a great devotee of Lord Venkateswara of Tirupati. Since his second coming to Shirdi in 1858. He lived all his life at Shirdi village in Maharastra till 15th October, 1918 when he was 80 y O years of age. He has merged in God.
His incarnation as Shri Shirdi Sai Baba was to teach all men of all religions that God is one, all men are the sparks of the same Divine Flame of God, all are one, all religions must be respected equally, and all creatures must be loved and treated kindly. He was the embodiment of perfect secularism and harmony.
