The Art of Prediction is a complex process which is not discussed fully in any single classical text although in each of them very valuable inputs necessary for carrying out the activity in different ways are provided at various places. This book on the 'Synthesis Method of prediction' deals with a step-by-step technique of systematically synthesising and integrating all those information related to different ways of prediction contained in major classical texts of Parashara system. It seeks to standardise the technique of prediction and explain the Predictive Art in detail in a single volume for the first time along with all relevant rules compiled from the classics. The actual method is formulated in three stages viz., Analysis, Synthesis & Prediction with multiple steps in each stage covering almost all aspects of predictive Astrology. This book contains many innovative and practically very useful concepts like identifying the Principal, Supporting and Associated houses, identifying the common areas of operation, judging the complementary and supplementary influences, different types of interlinks among the Planets, Signs and houses, the art of counselling, general niceties in prediction, checking the overriding influences in a chart, etc. It also throws some light on the use of many lesser known concepts like Bahya and Anthar bhavas, bhavath karaka, akaraka grahas, guna pinda of a house, Chadaka, Vedhaka, Bandhaka & Pratibandaka planets, maranasthanas of planets, karako bhava nashaya, dispositorship, etc besides sharing many secret tips based on the practical experience of the author. The book contains 26 chapters with 30 illustrations and 22 tables. The main text of this book was originally published as a series of articles in Express Star Teller from Jut 2015 to October 2019. The contents in chapters 19 to 26 have been revis and rewritten for the book with significant inclusions.

Dr. V. Kumar (popularly known as Dr. Revathi Vee Kumar), is presently the honorary Chapter Chairman of Bangalore Chapter 1 of Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (ICAS). He has taught Astrology, Vaasthu, Numerology, Fengshui, etc to the students of AIFAS, Bangalore chapter-II for about a decade from 2002 to 2012 and has been teaching Astrology and allied subjects in ICAS, Bangalore Chapter-1 since August 2012. He is basically a science graduate with a Master's Degree in ASTROLOGY through Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, Hyderabad and a second MA in PHILOSOPHY AND RELIGION through Madurai Kamaraj University. He has been honoured with 'Doctor of Philosophy (Vaasthu)" by The Open International University for Complementary Medicine (O.I.U.C.M) at Srilanka during November 2010.

Dr. Revathi Vee Kumar is a versatile scholar possessing an in depth knowledge in Vaasthu, Astrology and Numerology. He is also well-versed in Palmistry, Feng Shui and Pyra Vaasthu. He is the pioneer in MEDICAL VAASTHU, a new branch of Study added to Vaasthu by him, in which a step by step method has been propounded for identifying the health problems in a house based on its floor plan. He has so far authored two books on Vaasthu titled 'The Foundations of Vedic Vaasthu' & 'Medical Vaasthu'. His first book on Astrology titled: "Pairing of Opposite Houses in Prediction" is published by M/s Sagar Publications, New Delhi in 2017. The present book is his second one on Astrology.

Dr. Revathi Vee Kumar has delivered many guest lectures on Astrology, Vaasthu and Fengshui. He has so far published more than 25 research papers on Astrology, Vaasthu and allied subjects. His articles have appeared in The AIFAS Research Journal of Astrology', 'Kashyapa Jyothisha', 'Saptarishisastrology.com', Modern Astrology, Express Star Teller, etc. Presently, he is contributing a series of articles on 'Samaagama' in Modern Astrology (monthly) magazine).

In recognition of his meritorious services in the field of Astrology and Vaasthu, Dr. Revathi Vee Kumar has been honoured by AIFAS, New Delhi as 'Acharya' in Astrology and Vaasthu during October 2004 and in the year 2008 as "Pracharya". Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (ICAS), New Delhi has honoured him as 'Jyotish Vachaspathi' during 2018. He is also honoured as Jyothir Vidwan, Jyothisha Kalaadhara, Jyothir Marthanda, Jyothishya Mahopadhyaya, etc. by many other organizations.

Astrology is a divine science. It is the best tool for decoding the karmic code encrypted by the Almighty. Through natal Astrology, the past, present and the future of any individual can be unveiled. There are hundreds of classics on Astrology written by the Rishis of yore using their Divya Dhrishti' which provide us a wealth of knowledge for understanding the karmic influences in a horoscope. There are about four lakh slokas in the Astrological lore. A mastery of the knowledge contained in all of them is beyond the capability of an average human being. In fact, it requires relentless efforts even to understand the subject in its right perspective. More so, to acquire the skill of an accurate prediction, as it poses a tough challenge to any student aspiring to become an expert practitioner.
