About the Book As user or manual informs about the best use of product like air conditioner or mobile; similarly we need manual for unwrap Ayurveda Samhitas, तंप्रयुक्ति, तडिल्य, कल्पना, अर्थाश्रम, व्याख्या and वादमार्ग are the tools for language innovation and to have best implementation of ancient compendium. It is to decode hidden/unexplored/twisted in-depth meaning of Samhita and to get the real essence of Ayurveda. For faster popularity/globalization and over all acceptance of Ayurveda, Samhitas are to be explored more & more. Tantrayukti like tools can help to decode the deep seated meaning for decomodifying, decomcratized-recommodification of human, animal & overall for our mother Earth. Researchers are needed to meet society's expectations. Training and mentoring of our research scholar must fundamentally reform with little more problem based learning process. These were the reason to compose the book "gara-The Manual to Samhita". So far this is the first approach to have all ancient tools with contemporary interpretation in one book. It will help students, teacher and researcher for easy and explainable understanding of Shlokas As language of chemistry helps for better grasping of chemistry book; certainly front - The Manual to Samhita" will serve students to enter into the vast ocean of Samhita.

About the Author Dr Bishnupriya Mohanty is presently working as Professor & Head of the Department of Sanskrit Samhita and Siddhanta at Gomantak Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya and Research Centre, Shiroda, Goa. She has completed her MD (Ay) and awarded PhD from prestigious institution i.e. Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda, The Centre of Excellence in Ayurveda, Gujarat Ayurveda University; Jamnagar, Gujarat having more than 21 Years of teaching experience.

She has published five books in Ayurveda under Chaukhambha and two chapters to books of Apple Academic Press, Co Publishing CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group. 167 numbers of scientific research articles has published in National, International, Peer Reviewed, Indexed, UGC and Scopus Research Journals. Member, Scientific Advisory Group (SAGs) Basic Sciences & Fundamental Research, of Central Council for Research in Ayurveda Sciences, New Delhi. She is recognized PG, PhD guide to Goa University and Guided MD PhD students for their research projects. Member Secretary Institutional Ethical Committee (IEC), Chairperson to NCISM Syllabus, Western Zone Training on Padartha Vijnana & Samhita Adhyayana, Chairperson, Ethical Committee, National Accreditation Board for Hospital and Healthcare Providers (NABH), GAM & RC, Goa and Member Faculty Board in Faculty of Medicine in Goa University. Author is also contributed as Resource person for CME/ROTP/TOT workshop, seminars, conferences and other international forums. She is President Global Sanskrit Forum and Viswa Ayurveda Parishad Goa Chapter.

Foreword The language paradox in understanding Charakasamhita, Sushrutasamhita, Ayurveda or AYUSH is much challenging and limited within few groups of people. Tantras (Samhitas) offers treasures for contemporary and future health, healthcare system and wellbeing. Foundational principles of Samhitas hold algorithms for addressing complex planetary health as well as One Health challenges. Unfortunately these aspirations are facing much difficulty for their implementation; even those are based on our common sense. Contemporary renditions of terms & concepts written in Tantras(Samhitas) are far from optimum.

Many of you will turn these pages to know about Mr Ratan Tata. And while I wish I could have done only that--to fully understand him from how I see him-this is a short memoir of my life where it overlaps his.
