The text book Padartha Vijnaana and Ayurveda Itihasa is multileveled, concise text book based on the syllabus for BAMS course. Being a tough subject for the beginners, it aims to make the subject easy with efficient reading. It aims in understanding the subject in correlation with the understanding of the Samhitis. The history is very brief but highlights it importance binding the past with the present. The philosophical concepts influencing the subject matter has been described in simple language.
Dr. Shubha is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Ayurveda Siddhantha at Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences, Manipal (Karnataka). She is a graduate from SDMCA, Udupi, has completed post craduation from AAMC, Moodbidri and PG Diploma in Yoga and Naturopathy from MPIYNER (G.A.U.). lamnagar. She has presented scientific papers in National and International seminars. She has good clinical, teaching experience along with yoga expertise. An ardent reader herself. she has put an effort to make the sub ect an interesting study for the students of Ayurveda.
Prof. Ravi Rao S. is working as Dean Research, at Alvas Ayurveda Medical College. Moodbidri (Karnataka). He has professional experience of more than 14 years in the field of Ayurveda. He has completed his post graduation from IPOT&R Itunnagar (2002) and Ph.D. from the same Institute in 2008.
The author is also a reviewer for indexed journals. He is approved PG and Ph.D. Guide for Dravyaguna by RGUHS, Bangalore and is serving as an examiner in Ayurvedic Universities and college. He has the credit of participaticin and presentation of papers in more than 30 National seminars. The author has published more than 10 scientific articles in indexed journals.
