We all know that successful life is a reward for those who take the right decisions and perform the right actions at the right time. In fact decisions and actions get fructified only if they are done at the right and appropriate time.

Our Vedic Rishis have gifted us with the science of Vedic astrology which is time personified and guides us to elect the right time to perform actions according to our time, date and place of birth. As Vedic astrology deals with the effects of planetary movements from time to time on the animate and inanimate things on earth, it clearly explains the relevance of this science in human affairs.

This book explains the basic concepts and principles of Vedic astrology in a simple and systematic manner so that we understand them thoroughly and apply them logically to lead a successful life.

Shri. Ayyagari Durgaprasad, M.A. (Astrology), aged 59, is the author of this book and the founder of Varaali-Vedic Astrology Research Academy and Learning Institute. He was initiated into the divine science of Vedic astrology at the young age of 10 years by his Guru, Shri Srinivasa Iyengar. He started predicting at the age of 17 years and now has more than 40 years of experience in predictive astrology.

He has a postgraduate degree in Vedic astrology from Shri Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, Hyderabad, in 2006. He has participated in various seminars on Vedic astrology arranged by various forums. He has written many articles about Vedic astrology. Apart from it, he has been practising Vasthu Shastra for the past 30 years. He is also involved in the science of gemology for the past 25 years.

A humble and very small effort has been made by me to bring back the glory of the great science called Vedic Astrology. Through this book I have stressed the importance of understanding the basic concepts and principles of this Divine Science before applying it for the welfare of the people. Application without understanding is being practised by so called astrologers which has led to the stage that this divine science is being called a Psuedo-science I am sure that my experience would enlighten the beginners to understand Vedic Astrology in the right perspective and guide the beginners to apply it in the right way. I would like to thank stalwarts like Professor B. Surya Narayana Rao, B. V Raman, S. R. N. Murthy and K.S.Krishnamurthy whose publications have helped me in gaining knowledge about this great science. My humble pranams to Shri Srinivasa Iyengar who Introduced and initiated this great science to me. I would also like to thank my family, friends and well-wishers with whose support and wishes I was able to complete this book.
