The path of spirituality is the path of truth. Knowing the reality is the end point of this journey. And by no means is it easy. For, engulfed by such a torrent of attachments, aversions and desires; the mind is so habituated in its perpetual search of happiness from the external world, that it mulishly refuses to delve inwards. Blind folded by ignorance people can't see the truth. And their delusions ensure that they keep spinning round and round in the cycle of birth and death.
There are a fortunate few who get to meet an enlightened master. And that opens up a possibility for them to tread the path of truth. This journey from ignorance to enlightenment is not only the most important but also the most difficult. It demands a strong desire for liberation, a deep dispassion to the material world, discriminative wisdom and a mind purified of all impurities (like attachments, aversions, egotism, greed etc). Unswerving faith in the master is crucial. Under the master's guidance, a sincere aspirant can most certainly accomplish this odyssey and attain the ultimate reality.
A sadguru simplifies the complexities, warns about pitfalls, and as and when needed, gives some helpful tools. Yoga Nidra is one such unique technique. By helping the practitioner to transcend false identifications (with the body and mind), this peculiar practice acts as an important gateway to knowing one's true identity. And the beauty of this practice is that besides helping one on the path of inner discovery; it also has highly beneficial effects on one's physical and mental well-being.
