FAQs
Q1. How do you make a cotton saree stiff?
You might soak the saree in cold water for around half an hour if you want to make sure that all of the starch is removed from the fabric. After this, the saree may have any lingering traces of starch washed away from it by first drying it, and then steam ironing it, and then washing it. The heavy starch that can be found on sarees can be removed by combining a half cup of distilled white vinegar with a pail of cold water, letting the saree soak in the mixture for half an hour, and then rinsing it thoroughly. After that, the saree needs to be washed, hung up to dry, and then ironed with steam. It is now devoid of starch and has the consistency of silk.
Q2. How do you clean a cotton handloom?
It is advised that shampoo or similar mild detergent be used while washing cotton products for the best possible outcomes. It is advised that you first let it soak for a bit in saltwater so that the texture may be kept more effectively before washing it. This should be done before washing it. It is recommended that while the garments are drying, a small stretch be applied to them. This will prevent the garments from becoming wrinkled after they have been dried. Always ensure that they have a sufficient amount of time to dry naturally by air circulation, and do all in your power to keep them out of the direct sunshine.
