Our survival and activities on this planet are subject to the work of Nature in producing food material. Plants prepare primary foods (carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, etc.) and oxygen, both of which are essential for the survival of life. Plants utilize toxic carbon dioxide, water (rains), minerals (earth) and fire (sunlight), by the arrangement of Nature, in order to produce the vital ingredients for the existence of life. The delicate balance of Nature is disturbed by the industrial activities which are poisoning Nature with excess CO2 emissions (resulting in the green-house effect and global warming), ozone depreciation, acid rains, floods, drought, pestilence, chemical contamination arising from man-made chemicals, waste plastics and petroleum products, nuclear radiation contamination, etc. Their effects are not fully understood by modern man and certainly the catastrophe is not far away!
