Preface to the Holy text series useful for awakening spiritual emotion
`0 Master ! As is the bhav of an individual towards You, accordingly will he get place at Your Holy feet'. This is how our Guru H.H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj has described the importance of bhay. The sagun to nirgun journey of a seeker worshipping the saguntattva (Matersialised Principle) of God, that is, his journey to non-duality becomes possible only because of bhay. Despite the fact that the importance of bhav in the spiritual life of a seeker is extraordinary, most people who perform spiritual practice are unaware of what exactly bhav is, what its features and types are, what efforts are necessary to awaken it, what are its stages etc. The objective of publishing this series of Holy texts on 'Spiritual practice for awakening of spiritual emotion' is to provide this information to the spiritually curious people and to seekers.
Preface
Most people know the limited meaning of `bhav' as sagun bhav that manifests for God or the Guru (Spiritual master). The bhav that bestows nirguntattva (Non-materialised Principle) is of various types based on different levels. If these types are studied, a new perspective will be obtained for making efforts to awaken bhay. From this perspective, this Holy text will prove to be a valuable guide. In this Holy text, vyashti and samashti bhav, manifest and unmanifest bhav, krutadnyata-bhav, sharanagatbhav and other bhav, their effects on man and his sadhana are explained in detail. Additionally, a number of novel facts such as how to identify if an individual has bhav, why is it essential for yearning and bhav to be linked for rapid spiritual progress, efforts to enhance bhav, colours of the particles of Chaitanya around the seeker based on his bhav etc. have been clarified here. 'Actions change thoughts and thoughts bring about a change in acts and appropriate acts bring about a change in actions and thoughts', according to this principle if acts are performed continuously at the level of the mind and intellect to awaken bhav, then bhav will certainly be awakened. This Holy text guides on how to begin with the efforts to awaken bhav, and finally reach a stage which is beyond bhAv.
Since the knowledge obtained by Sanatan seekers by God's grace is of a higher level, it is a little difficult to comprehend. Despite this being so, if there are curiosity and yearning, it will be possible even for a seeker in the primary stage to grasp this knowledge.
We pray unto the Holy feet of Shri Guru that making use of knowledge in this Holy text, may every one enhance the bhav within himself to realise God.
