Khajuraho monuments are famous for their Nagara style architecture and erotic sculptures, which makes it one of the most significant historical sites in India today. This apsara shown here is inspired by Khajuraho carvings and stands on a heightened wooden pedestal. She is carrying a mirror in her left hand relishing her innate beauty and sensual attributes by which this nymph can give pleasure to both gods and men by her singing and dance.

She stands tall and has an enticing figure. Her lover torso and décolletage are highlighted. The flow of her low waist fitted dhoti with traditionally styled kamarband that hangs from the front and sides accentuates her magnificent beauty. The jewels she is adorned with are uniformly placed on her bodice and match the gorgeous crown that adorns her head. Apart from its essence, the sculptor has paid close attention to the way it is carved, and the inky black coloured texture of the wood adds to its allure.
