Long, slender arms go with a tall, lithe form. He is chaturbhujadhari or the one possessed of (‘dhari’) four (‘chatur’) arms (‘bhuja’). In His posterior hands are the discus that is symbolic of the cyclical nature of existence as we know it; and the conch, the naada (sound) of which is said to have the power to give birth. Note the fine musculature of His limbs and the sheer proportion of detail introduced into the digits.

He is clad in a silken dhoti held in place by a thick girdle of gold. Gold adornments abound on His torso, necklaces and a waistband and streams of the sacred janeu. A tall crown towers above His head, the rim of which sits upon a brow so gracious and so handsome it could belong only to a deva of the highest order.
