On seeing Lord Krishna images, the only thing that attracts us is his innate beauty and purity which is also visible on his soothing face along with the mesmerized tunes that come out from his flute. This stylized Krishna sculpture is a sheer depiction of the same characteristics; sculpted with a stunning face and hands holding the peacock basuri (flute) which he is playing. The entire sculpture is supported by a unique circular base, having the upper half decorated with multicolored stones and beads.
The most striking aspect is the use of red, dark blue, turquoise blue and white reconstituted stones to decorate his accessories. Sculptor has executed his high imagination skills in the most perfect way of crafting floral patterns all over his body on a white base to highlight them further. The similar looking red and green beaded necklace and bracelet complement with his attires in a beautifying manner.
As you move to the top, you will be allured by Krishna’s bright and multicolored turban having a long peacock feather attached to it; designed in similar flower patterns but on a red base and creases marked beautifully using golden bead piping. The peacock feather at the top is divided in alternate layers of red and blue leaf shaped stones and highlighted by a large green and white leaf patch in the centre. The blue shaded Vaishnava tilak glows dominantly on the glossy and smooth golden hued face, carved in realistic expressions and features with the eyes closed in soulful voice of his flute and a sweet smile on the lips that spreads love and happiness.
