The Gandhi have been one of the most important personalities of world. It seems very difficult for the political parties and social or political movements to survive without Gandhian philosophy and tools. This book is a rational approach to have a deep look into the effects of Gandhi on various social and political concerns of the Indian public. In this book the indelible effect of Gandhi on the political parties and on the socio- political upheavals have also been analyzed.
After post graduation from Ranchi University, Ranchi, the author devoted herself to the Gandhian Philosophy. She has been one of the pioneer speakers in the conferences and seminars. Gandhi has been the key theme 'of her lectures. She considers Gandhian philosophy as one of the most important solution to many ailments of society.

Preface

Gandhi, unarguably, is one of the rare few on whom unlimited number of books or papers have been written. Naturally, our "Gandhi and the politics of survival in India" is a very humble effort to analyse Gandhian philosophy applied to various socio-political problems of modern India.
Since Gandhi is one of the most versalite personality, such a little attempt, we admit modestly, will never cover his every aspect, his every segment, his every impact that he left on. However. We have tried to explain how the Gandhian tool and spirit of his philosophy is still relevant and useful. Whether it be a political tool of agitation or protest or struggle. In fact Gandhi Survives in the psychology of the people of India.
We have made sincerely-susttained and impartial effort but being a poor model likes or deslikes can't be thoughroughy demied and as such, if such cre appears to the X-raying eyes, we deeply regret and invite suggestion for unprovement.
We hope, this book would be pleasant informative, and, above all, extend the frontiers of the knowledge about Gandhi and issue a new map.
Admittedly blessings and co-operation of many people have been with in through out the year of preparation of this book, yet some of than are worth mentioning such as Ram Ekbal Ojha, A.K. Mishra and family and Dr. P.K. Jha. We express our deep respect to them.
Again we are thankful to our friends and scholars for useful co-operation and rich suggestion without which it could not have been possible.
