Book Description
About the Book

Tirumalamba is a historical character belonging to the great empire Vijaynagar. According to the historical information she was the wife of King Acyutaraya, the brother of great Sri Krishnadevaraya. She occupies a high place among women potesses whose literary skill flashes through her work "Varadambika parinaya campu" composed in Sanskrit. She was a great scholar of Sanskrit and has participated in scholarly assemblies. Her literary style is unique, rich and filled with the flavor of alankaras and power of grammatical words. This monograph holds mirror to the multifaceted knowledge of Tirumalamba. Her acquaintance with warfare, fine arts reflect through her descriptions. This book introduces a great writer less known to the literary world.
